We work to improve the quality of life of people impacted by arthritis through the support and promotion of Arthritis-Appropriate Evidence-Based Interventions (AAEBIs). We continue to strengthen influential partnerships to expand and build sustainable AAEBI programming.
The Kansas Arthritis Program works with healthcare systems, local public health, parks and recreation departments, businesses, nonprofit organizations and communities with the goal of improving the quality of life for people with arthritis. We continually look for opportunities to establish new connections and partners.
In 2018, our state was one of thirteen awarded funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to implement state-based approaches to improve arthritis management and quality of life for adults with arthritis.
