The Engineering and Permits Unit issues permits for public water supply systems. Two types of public water supply permit applications are utilized in Kansas: permits to modify existing public water supply systems and permits to form anew public water supply system.
This permit application consists of two-parts, with Part II containing a technical, financial, and management capacity assessment. The permit applications are available in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF), and are to be submitted as an originally completed: current revision, 8-page permit application with wet ink signatures as completed, dated, signed and notarized. If a paper copy of the original permit application is needed for filing, make a quality paper copy for filing prior to mailing the original permit application to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
