Purpose
The Bureau of Environmental Field Services (BEFS) administers all environmental program operations at the six Kansas Department of Health and Environment district offices and provides scientific, technical, and operational support for the KDHE Division of Environment programs.

Assisting businesses with answers to questions, on-site assessments, pollution prevention technologies, workshops and publications to comply with environmental regulations.

Reviewing strategies, plans and environmental codes to eliminate or minimize pollution that does not come from the end of a pipe.
