Lead Testing in Schools & Child Care Facilities

The Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act (WIIN Act) provides federal funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the states for lead level reduction efforts in drinking water. Grants are available to support lead testing in schools and child care facilities.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE)'s Public Water Supply Section administers Kansas' voluntary lead testing program at no cost to participating schools and child care facilities.
