This program conducts telephone surveys related to a wide range of health issues in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Community Health Promotion
The Community Health Promotion Section within the Bureau of Health Promotion, house the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation, Physical Activity and Nutrition programs to reduce tobacco use and increase access to healthy food and promote physical activity.

Community Health Workers
Community Health Workers (CHWs) are a frontline public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. CHWs make an impact in Kansas as they decrease challenges that keep everyone from living a healthy life and provide them access to make the healthiest choice the easiest choice.

Epidemiology & Public Health Informatics
Responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data that provides information on a variety of conditions of public health importance and on the health status of the population.

Injury & Violence Prevention Programs
Focuses on providing technical assistance to local and state partners to assess the burden of injury and violence, assure interventions and facilitate policy development.

Substance Use Disorder & Overdose Prevention
KDHE was awarded $3.1 million in funding for a 3-year cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) for the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) Program to support efforts to address the national opioid and drug overdose crisis.
