Private drinking water wells will be sampled in alluvial aquifers along Prairie Dog Creek in Norton and Phillips Counties, Sappa Creek in Decatur County, and Beaver Creek in Rawlins County during a two-year period.
- Norton County - In May 2021, well owners within the Norton County study area will receive a letter from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) with information pertaining to this study, as well as information regarding how FHSU will collect a sample from your private water well. This letter can be easily identified by its inclusion of a Well ID Number in the subject line.
- Phillips County - In May 2021, well owners within the Phillips County study area will receive a letter from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) with information pertaining to this study, as well as information regarding how FHSU will collect a sample from your private water well. This letter can be easily identified by its inclusion of a Well ID Number in the subject line.
- Rawlins County - In May 2022, well owners within the Rawlins County study area will receive a letter from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) with information pertaining to this study, as well as information regarding how FHSU will collect a sample from your private water well.
- Decatur County - In May 2022, well owners within the Decatur County study area will receive a letter from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) with information pertaining to this study, as well as information regarding how FHSU will collect a sample from your private water well.
