Awards & Recognition

Cara Everhart Award

The Cara Everhart award is presented annually at the Kansas Emergency Medical Services Association banquet to an outstanding individual or group that has shown excellence and dedication to pediatric emergency and family-centered care.

Cara's parents, Ray and Linda, passionately express the importance of including families in decision-making in the care of children. To this day the Everhart's deeply appreciate the time one particular physician gave to them during their heart-breaking loss of their daughter on March 9, 1994.

The 2019 Recipient of the Cara Everhart award is Matthew Russ (pictured) and Brady Giesken, of the AMR NICU Transport Team.
