Strategy Overview

Project Summary: Primary prevention of sexual violence at the relationship, community, and society levels of the social ecological model in Kansas City, Kansas. Brings together a coalition of the community's key stakeholders (The Wyandotte County Sexual Violence Prevention Coalition, WYCO-SAP) to develop and enact prevention strategies that focus making environmental and socio-cultural changes that reduce risk factors for sexual violence perpetration and mobilize the community against sexual violence.

WYCO-SAP has conducted a needs assessment in Kansas City, Kansas that assisted them in the development and implementation of their sexual violence primary prevention action plan. Currently MOCSA's WYCO-SAP are also implementing Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) strategies and are currently in the process of developing a Violence Prevention Plan for their community.
