WIC benefits can be used to buy healthy food at over 340 authorized grocery stores statewide. WIC foods are chosen because they contain nutrients needed for pregnancy, breastfeeding, infancy, and early childhood. Examples of WIC foods include milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, juice, fish, whole grains, cereal, peanut butter, beans (dried or canned), fresh fruits and vegetables, infant formula and baby food.
For a complete list of WIC-approved foods, view the "WIC Approved Food List (XLSX)" link. For more information please view the WIC Program Booklet English (PDF) or the WIC Program Booklet Spanish (PDF).
